Stacy Shaw’s yoga path started in the West, where she grew up and drew her strength from the meditative quiet of the wheat fields and big, open sky of Montana.  Physically active since childhood, Stacy taught dance aerobics in the 1980s.  In 1991 Stacy moved to Minnesota and began working as a dental assistant at Lakeville Family Dental and as a teacher of step aerobics.

In 2000 a car accident introduced pain into Stacy’s life, and she sought complementary methods – including yoga – to alleviate it as well as the effects of a dysfunctional thyroid.   Yoga helped reshape her body and mind, and Stacy delved into the studying and teaching it.  Over the years, she has completed YogaFit Level 1, Prenatal, and Strength with Weights, and she earned her RYT (200-hour certification) from Core Power training.  Stacy teaches yoga throughout the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities and met many of Green Lotus’ teachers, service providers and co-founders along the way.

Stacy lives in Farmington with her two daughters and loves helping people “in the dental chair and on their yoga mats”.  And when Stacy plants her feet on her mat, she once again finds the meditative presence of Montana.
