Anagata is sanskrit for "belonging to the future".

The teen years are a bridge between childhood and adulthood. The practice of yoga can help a teen cross this bridge with greater confidence, grace, and ease. While there are many yoga resources for kids and most adult classes are open to teens, there is a gap between the ages of 10 - 16 or so. Teenagers have outgrown the silliness of kids yoga and will be ready for the technical aspects of traditional yoga, but many will not be comfortable participating in a class that is geared toward adults. In Anagata Teen Yoga™ Teacher Training, we learn to teach the techniques of yoga and adapt our class structure to suit the unique needs of this age group.

Teacher trainees will learn to create a fun and un-intimidating class environment in which young students can learn and practice the fundamental poses and concepts of yoga and prepare themselves to confidently transition into an adult class. Adding Teen Yoga to your teaching credentials enables you to expand your teaching hours by filling off peak class hours with early afternoon classes or teaching on-site at schools or community centers. This training is recommended for 200- and 500-hour yoga teachers.
