Since 2006, when Tricia initiated her practice, her lifelong love of learning extended itself naturally to the 8-limbed path of yoga. Her practice built powerfully as she first gravitated to vinyasa flow yoga, and in 2007 she journeyed to Mexico to study teacher training with Baron Baptiste.  Attracted to the many different types of asana practice as well as the integration of breathing techniques and a commited spiritual life, Tricia formally and informally deepened her exploration. In 2008 she completed the RYT 200 Yoga Study program at Green Lotus and joined its teaching staff on a regular basis.

Tricia credits yoga with helping to rehabilitate neck, back, and ankle injuries she experienced in a car accident several years ago. "The physical strength is a wonderful byproduct of my journey but only one," she says. "The mind, body, and spirit connection that yoga brings has led me to understand who I am and what I want to do and to focus with equanimity and confidence. And yoga has a big fun component."

Tricia has a master's degree in counselor education from the University of Iowa and has been involved in higher education for most of her career in many aspects.  She is an avid volunteer, particularly at the Minnesota Zoo, where in 2003 she was named a Sunday "Volunteer of the Year."
