Dr. Mary Del Vecchio
Dr. Mary has been serving individuals, couples, and families as they work through emotional, mental, and physical health challenges for more than 30 years.
A believer in grace and the power of intention, she often discovers that a person also needs spiritual healing. By working with her clients holistically, Dr. Mary can better teach them the wisdom inherent within themselves and foster healing on all levels of their being. She has learned to follow her heart to work with the whole person. Key to her work is the belief that it is your path, not hers, that must be found. She listens with the “ear of her heart” so that you may grow, heal, and move along your journey in a healthy manner.
By acting as your guide with a spiritually inspired approach, Dr. Mary specializes in women’s issues and those for children ages 11 and up. She offers family, relationship/partnership/marriage counseling as well as working with clergy and with those seeking guidance.
She incorporates relaxation techniques, music therapy, and healing touch to help you grow, heal, and move along on your journey.
Dr. Mary has a doctorate in psychology from the Graduate Theological Foundation and a master’s degree from the College of St. Catherine, in St Paul, Minnesota. She also has a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Stout. Dr. Mary is an Oblate at St. Paul Monastery, where she serves on the board. As an experienced workshop and retreat facilitator, Dr. Mary can design a retreat especially for you, your family, and your friends. Two of her retreats - In God’s Hands and Listening with the Ear of Your Heart - are published through Within Ministries and have been experienced by women across the country.
Dr. Mary has two grown children and two grandchildren. She finds joy in creating through arts and crafts and music and combined both to build her own harp. She is the sole artist on Breezes of Grace, a CD/DVD of relaxation harp music.
