Shalynn has been working in the fitness industry since 2004 and became a personal trainer in 2010 after her own weight-loss journey. She discovered her true passion – yoga – when she began RYT-200 teacher training. Karin’s practice deeply is influenced by Krishnamacharya, the godfather of all modern yoga, who did not define his practice as a certain style of yoga but said simply, “Yoga is life.” As a wife and mother of four, Shalynn couldn’t agree more with his statement.
Shalynn has instructed breath-centered yoga classes at Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater, Minnesota, worked with clients individually to help them discover how they can benefit from yoga, and also has enjoyed stand-up paddle board classes on the lakes of central Minnesota. “I believe we all have physical, emotional, and spiritual misalignments, and yoga is an individual practice of self-discovery,” Shalynn says. “Yoga meets you wherever you are to help you find whatever form of balance your body may need to achieve wellness.”
