Sanskrit: The Sacred Language of Yoga
Yoga Alliance-Approved Advanced Studies and
Continuing-Education Yoga Teacher Training
Dates: June 24 - 25, 2017
CEC: 14-Hours (12 Contact, 2 Non-Contact)
The emergence and popularity of yoga in the West brings the need for knowledge of Sanskrit words for deeper practice. In this training, you will be introduced to the sounds of Sanskrit, one of the world's oldest languages. It's unique power of expression and beauty reflect the great importance that sound and vibration had to the ancient sages. This training will have an emphasis on the words and phrases that will be most helpful for you as a yoga teacher, in finding your unique voice, while honoring the rich history of the sacred language of yoga, Sanskrit. You will leave this training able to teach a class entirely in the language.
“This was functional foreign language training that would benefit all yoga teachers.”
