Sound Healing, Vibration Medicine, and Acoustic Technology TM describes more than pretty sounds; there is science behind the therapeutic use of sound and vibration that has been used for thousands of years.  Decades ago, Einstein said it's the healing modality of the future, but its healing properties have been around for lifetimes.  

 In this weekend immersion, you’ll learn how vibration and sound benefit the physical and energetic bodies and how to facilitate healing, clearing, and expansion in yourself and others.  You’ll learn the history of sound healing, its uses, the modernization of therapeutic sound healing, and how to perform sound healing sessions. 

We cover the chakras, the vibrational frequency and the tone for each, and tones that relate to combined chakras.  We cover the link between planetary vibration and our physical meridian portals as well as combination-tones for specific energies.  You’ll learn how to choose your bowl/s, the purpose and use of other sound tools, and how to merge sound instruments with voice. Laurie covers singing bowl playing techniques, appropriate tools to use when playing singing bowls, and care of your bowls and other sound tools.  

You will be immersed in sound healing over the weekend as Laurie uses crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, Solfeggio tubes, chimes, bells, a rain drum, other drums, and additional vibration tools. You’ll experience in the felt sense of your own being the power and use of vibration and sound in the fields of energy.    

This is a hands-on and experiential event. If you have a singing bowl or other vibration tools, bring them – they are not required; Laurie has several bowls and tools for student use and experimentation so you can find the tones and vibrations that resonate with you.   Attendance is limited to 12 - save your spot now.

The healing quality of sound has been recognized for a very long time. As early as 16,000 B.C.E. in Europe, and 40,000 B.C.E. in Australia, vibrational tools were used as healing instruments. In past eons and today, people use sound and music to find a sense of calm, to worship, and to celebrate. Sound and vibration have been part of the human experience all over the world since ancient times.

How does sound healing work?

The bowl releases vibrations that are absorbed by the body. Just as every organ and cell in each of us vibrates at a particular frequency, the sounds we create with singing bowls have their own vibration, one which helps the brain reach a level of deep relaxation. Sound healing befriends the noisy and overactive mind and allows transformation and healing to occur.

During a sound-healing session, many experience an altered state of awareness sometimes described as feeling “floaty”. Often there is a sense of reduced anxiety and muscle tension or a feeling of vast spaciousness. Medical studies have found that sound- healing vibrations encourage brainwaves to settle and enter a state of deep relaxation in the delta and theta states. This allows the mind to become quiet and still and the body to enter homeostasis, the state where healing occurs on all levels.

 
 

Required

Sound healing instruments are not required for attendance. Laurie has bowls and tools to use. If you have a singing bowl or tingshas, you may bring them.

Week 1: Harmonic Resonance

  • Discover the history and future of sound healing and its connection to energy, frequency, and vibrational medicine.

  • Experience the transformative power of sacred sounds, including crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, vocal toning, chanting, and mantras.

  • Explore the use of healing intent and sound formulas for enhanced therapeutic effects.

  • If you own a metal singing bowl or tingshas, bring them to class.

Week 2: Sacred Soundscapes

  • Create safe and nurturing environments for personal healing and group sound baths.

  • Learn how to set up your space for effective sound healing sessions.

  • Dive into the art of playing crystal singing bowls and other sound healing instruments.

  • If you own them, bring to class a metal singing bowl, crystal singing bowl, tingshas, chimes, or tuning forks.

Week 3: Sonic Fusion

  • Experience a group sound bath to feel the effects of sound healing in your own body and mind.

  • Learn how to facilitate a group sound bath that harmonizes and uplift participants.

  • Discover the transformative power of silence and the spaces between sounds in sound healing journeys.

Week 4: Sound Alchemists Unite

  • Step into the role of a sound alchemist and co-create transformative sound experiences.

  • Craft your own unique sound journey for personal and collective healing.

About Reiki:

Anyone can learn to perform reiki, and trainings at Green Lotus provide lots of time to practice and ask questions. If you are new to reiki, you will leave the first level of training fully empowered to use reiki on yourself, your loved ones, and even your pets. You will become a conduit for greater health, balance, and vitality for yourself and those around you.

Rei: means universe, Ki: means life force energy

Reiki training is for anyone wanting a healthier, more balanced, and more connected life. It can be used to restore and nourish the body of everyday life stressors. It aids the body's natural ability to heal headaches, exhaustion, colds, sleeplessness, injuries, and other forms of “dis-ease”. Reiki has no side-effects, no risks, and always is available to access.

If you have had reiki training elsewhere, you can repeat your training level, or you may be able to continue where you left off. Just drop us a line to get started.

Anyone can learn reiki. No experience is required.

Reiki Level 1

Reiki’s soothing, balancing energy immediately will be accessible to you for your own healing after the training, for helping your loved ones and even for helping your pets. Reiki restores and nourishes the body, balancing everyday stressors and aiding the body's natural ability to heal symptoms related to imbalance like headaches, exhaustion, colds, sleeplessness, injuries, and all forms of “dis-ease.”

In this training, you learn the history of the powerful healing technique called reiki; the roots from which it derived; the lineage of which you will become part; the ethics of practicing reiki, and how to perform reiki sessions. During training, you practice the first reiki healing symbol and learn how and when to use it. You will receive reiki and have ample time to practice on others and ask questions. All are welcome, you don’t need prior reiki experience. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Water, tea, and snacks are provided. If you require anything other than that, feel free to bring it.

Reiki Level 2

In this intermediate level, students delve deeper into the practice of reiki and learn how to incorporate the use of proxies, energy balls, and techniques integrating pendulums, crystals, singing bowls, aromatherapy, and rune stones. You are introduced to the origin and meaning of the second and third reiki symbols – powerful tools to use in your reiki practice. Through a series of attunements – gaining of access to reiki energy – students are empowered to apply the symbols and various techniques in in-person and long-distance reiki sessions. There is ample time to give and receive reiki sessions and ask questions. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Water, tea, and snacks are provided. If you require anything other than that, feel free to bring it.

Fee: $175 Reiki Training Level 1 is a prerequisite. If you had your first level attunement elsewhere contact us.

Reiki Training Immersion: Levels 1 & 2

Jumpstart your reiki practice in one immersive weekend. Take both level 1 and 2 and you’ll be ready to offer in-person and distance healing sessions and use a variety of techniques and tools, with plenty of time for practice and discussion. You may also take a single level if you wish. See above for session details.

Reiki Master Training

In the master-level training students receive their final attunement and earn the title of Reiki Master. You learn the last of the reiki healing symbols, their meaning, and how and when to use them. Learn to give attunements and practice everything you need to know with fellow students. Other topics covered: preparing a room for a serene and healing reiki session and how to integrate the three levels of reiki into your practice and daily life. Upon completion of this training, you are empowered with the tools and skills to begin your professional reiki practice if you choose. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Water, tea, and snacks are provided. If you require anything other than that, feel free to bring it.

Starting at a young age, Tess was able to easily and deeply pick up on people's energies and emotions. Her passion in life always has been to help and heal others; following that passion started her on a spiritual journey that eventually brought her to reiki. Through Green Lotus's Reiki Training School, she became certified by David Kaley as a Reiki Master in 2020. Tess's bright energy and warm smile welcome her students in our safe space as she ushers them into the reiki lineage. After training with Tess, you will be able to use the healing power of reiki right away. Tess leads Reiki Training at all Green Lotus locations and is excited to share this healing and balancing modality with new practitioners.
