Winter Is a Masterpeace
/ GL AdminsThe quiet of the season
as snow white settles in,
a canvas for the heart and mind -
where should I begin
to paint the gifts before me
amidst some sadness, too,
life’s weighed down by dreams deferred
and saved by dreams come true.
I used to shudder at the pause
these longer nights of navy
but the beauty of the stillness now
has me thinking maybe
winter is a master-peace.
